Plain-language answers about how Total-Care+ works, what it covers, and your rights.
Total-Care+ is a prepaid plan for remote (online) technical support for your Windows laptop, desktop or all-in-one PC. Our technicians help you by phone, chat and secure remote-access sessions to diagnose and fix software problems, set up apps and accessories, and keep your device secure.
All services are delivered virtually. We do not visit your home or office, and we do not physically handle your device.
We run remote diagnostic checks to find out whether a problem is caused by software or by a hardware component such as a hard drive, memory, battery or display. We explain what we find and recommend next steps, such as contacting the manufacturer or an authorized repair center.
A diagnosis is our professional opinion based on remote tests. It is not a physical inspection or a guarantee of your device's condition, and it does not include repair or replacement of parts.
You can contact us as many times as you need during your plan term for covered services on your covered device(s). There is no limit on the number of sessions or issues. Unlimited use is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which does not allow, for example, sharing your plan with devices that are not registered on it or reselling our services.
Yes. Choose 2 or 3 devices under Coverage when you buy, or add a device later with the Add-On Device option at the lower add-on price. Each device must be registered on your plan before we can support it. Add-on devices are available on 1, 2, 3 and 5 year plans.
Use the phone, chat or email details in your order confirmation and on our website. Have your plan ID ready. A technician will confirm your details, discuss the problem and, if needed, ask for your permission to connect to your device remotely.
We connect to your device only with your clear permission, for each session, using established remote-support software. You can watch everything the technician does and end the session at any time.
We will never ask for your online banking passwords or card PIN. We never make unsolicited calls or show pop-up warnings claiming your device is infected. If anyone contacts you like this using our name, do not give them access and report it to us.
During our support hours we typically connect you with a technician within 2 to 3 minutes. Wait times can be longer at busy times, and response times are a goal rather than a guarantee.
We assign you a primary technician who gets to know your devices and support history. When your primary technician is unavailable, another qualified technician will help you so you never have to wait for one person.
Yes. Please back up your important files before any support session, especially before repairs, reinstallations or malware removal. We take care to protect your data, but some fixes carry a risk of data loss. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.
You pay once, upfront, for the plan term you choose. The full price is shown before you check out and is charged when you complete your purchase. Applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.
No. Your plan ends at the end of the term you paid for, and you will not be charged again unless you choose to buy a new plan. We may contact you before your plan ends to let you know your renewal options.
You can request a full refund within 7 business days of your purchase date, for any reason. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
After 7 business days, plan fees are non-refundable, including for any unused part of your term, except where a refund is required by law.
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show the credit. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
Contact us by phone, chat or email at any time and ask to cancel. We will confirm your cancellation in writing.
The Single Incident plan covers one support issue on one device. We work on that issue, over one or more sessions, until it is resolved or we confirm it is outside the scope of our services (for example, a hardware fault that needs physical repair). A new, unrelated issue needs a new purchase or a term plan.
Please contact us first. We can usually answer billing questions and process eligible refunds faster than a dispute through your bank.
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number.
We collect only the information we need to provide support and manage your plan, and we access only the parts of your device needed to fix your issue. We do not sell your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details and for your privacy choices.
